Grow Up

22 Aug

Rant: Why is it that the press (both printed and tv) can’t ever give young people credit for their achievements. I have young people who I work with who got their GCSE results yesterday and others who got their AS’s last week. They worked hard, some of them really hard, put in hours of study only to have their results devalued by these people who insist that if young people are achieving it must be due to exams getting easier. They were trotting out this kind of rubbish (nearly used a stronger word but caught myself) 10 years ago when I was doing my exams. So from me to any young people reading this, well done, I’m proud of you, and sorry I’m sorry that some adults can be so up themselves.
