Common Prayer – A Liturgy for Ordinary Radicals

1 Jan

I got this prayer book just before Christmas and am thinking about using it during the coming year. It is a modernised version of the 1662 (i think version) and has been done specifically for faith community gatherings. It is good to be challenged by new styles etc but I do love the Celtic Daily Prayer by the Northumbria Community which has been so significant over the course of the past few years for me. I’m going to try and use the 2 in different places possibly as I will endeavour to start a time of prayer within the coffee shop prior to opening. Perhaps one will serve that community and one for my daily prayer? Anyhow I wanted to flag this book up and the way it has been pulled together by some good people including the always inspirational Shane Claiborne.
